Gloria Urban
Born and raised in Reading, PA, discovered her passion for art at a young age, expressing creativity through fashion design and mural work during high school. Mentored by James M. Waldron, curator of the Reading Public Museum and the president of the Berks Art Alliance, she developed a strong foundation in art while studying under several esteemed artists.
After working in accounting and raising two sons, Gloria returned to art, becoming active with the Art Plus Gallery in West Reading, where she served as both member and director. Now retired in Southwest Florida, she paints full-time, focusing on vivid Plein Art landscapes in acrylics and oils that capture the tropical beauty of her surroundings. A devoted lifelong learner, she continues to refine her skills through workshops, travel, and collaboration, finding fulfillment in using her art to express the vibrant world around her.
