Rainy Brooks

Oil painter and graphite artist whose work draws inspiration from the natural landscapes of Maine and coastal Florida. Raised in rural Maine, she began creating art early, and later refined her expressive style through private study.

For more than twenty years, Rainy has explored color, atmosphere, and texture in oils, often using palette knives to create dynamic, energetic surfaces. She expanded to graphite drawing when she illustrated a book, completing nearly one hundred nature-based sketches.

Rainy has exhibited throughout Maine, NH, and Florida, including the Searsport Historical Society, Belfast Senior College Art Festival, various local galleries, and the Venice Art Center, where she is an active member. Her work has appeared in galleries, professional offices, and design showrooms. She has completed numerous private commissions, including murals and multi-panel pieces.
